An at-large member represents every neighborhood in Philadelphia rather than one district. - Carlos Giraldo is running at-large. He is NOT running in a numbered district. - Each voter may cast up to 5 at-large votes, and each party nominates 5. - So this is not an either/or choice against other candidates: the ask is for one of those 5 votes. ## Voting in Pennsylvania Pennsylvania holds a CLOSED primary: only voters registered with a party may vote in that party's primary. A voter registered independent or third-party cannot vote in the Democratic primary until they change their party registration. In Philadelphia the Democratic primary usually decides the seat. - Register, change party, or change address: https://www.pavoterservices.pa.gov/pages/voterregistrationapplication.aspx - Deadline to register or change party: 2027-05-03 (15 days before the primary) - Apply for a mail ballot: https://www.pavoterservices.pa.gov/OnlineAbsenteeApplication/ - Deadline to apply for a mail ballot: 2027-05-11 - A mail ballot is sent to the address on the voter's registration, so a voter who has moved must update their address before requesting one. - Check your registration: https://www.pavoterservices.pa.gov/pages/voterregistrationstatus.aspx - Find your polling place: https://www.pavoterservices.pa.gov/Pages/PollingPlaceInfo.aspx ## Key pages - [Home](https://carlosgiraldo4philly.com): campaign overview and how to get involved. - [Meet Carlos](https://carlosgiraldo4philly.com/about): biography and record. - [Issues](https://carlosgiraldo4philly.com/issues): the full platform for Philadelphia. - [Donate](https://secure.actblue.com/donate/carlos-alberto-giraldo-1): contribute through ActBlue. - [Volunteer](https://carlosgiraldo4philly.com/volunteer): canvassing, phone banking and events. - [Events](https://carlosgiraldo4philly.com/events): upcoming campaign events. - [News](https://carlosgiraldo4philly.com/news): press releases, statements and news from the campaign. - [Blog](https://carlosgiraldo4philly.com/blog): Carlos Giraldo writing about the neighborhoods and the ideas behind the campaign. - [Endorsements](https://carlosgiraldo4philly.com/endorsements): who is backing the campaign. - [Vote](https://carlosgiraldo4philly.com/vote): registration, changing party, mail ballots and polling places. ## Platform - [Housing People Can Actually Afford](https://carlosgiraldo4philly.com/issues/affordable-housing): Protect the neighbors who are already here, build more housing faster, and put vacant land to work. - [Safety That Actually Makes Blocks Safer](https://carlosgiraldo4philly.com/issues/public-safety): Real investment in the things that prevent violence, alongside police who are accountable and actually present. - [A Waterfront That Belongs to the City](https://carlosgiraldo4philly.com/issues/waterfront-and-development): The Delaware riverfront is one of Philadelphia's greatest assets.
